New Michael Foulkes Double-Decker Hide
On 26th October 2017 a new two storey hide was officially opened at the reserve. From the hide members and visitors are able to look out to Marsh Lake, the reed bed and the Kingfisher bank.
The new hide was funded by Thames Water and replaced the old one which was rotting and becoming unsafe. The lower level has wheelchair access with all viewing bays being suitable for wheelchair users.
The hide has been dedicated to Michael Foulkes, the first Chairman of the Society, and his widow, Audrey Gynne, was on hand to cut the ribbon.
